Meet Our Team...
Lisa - Office Manager
My name is Lisa and I have been working in the optical industry for 18 years. I joined Advanced Eye Care in February 2023 to lead a group of great people. I was born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois but have been in Iowa for 24 years. I have 3 kids, 2 daughter in-laws, and a grand baby on the way! I enjoy spending time with my husband Ben and my 2 rescue poodles, Finn and Buddy. In the summer you will see us at the farmers market or any patio that allows dogs.
Tami - Assistant Manager
My name is Tami, I’m from Agra, Kansas. I have worked here since 2007. Outside of the office, I enjoy time with my family, running, and outdoor activities. I’m married with two boys. I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Medical Assistant Degree. I enjoy working in eye care because I enjoy helping people.
Matthew - Optician
Hello my name is Matthew. I am originally from Sioux City. I'm an optician here at Advanced Eye Care. I’ve been working for Dr. Wilson for about a year; I enjoy helping people get the best vision possible from their glasses. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our cat. I also enjoy painting and going to concerts.
Keeli - Optician
Hello! My name is Keeli! I’m from the Des Moines area, born and raised. I started working at Advanced Eye Care in January of 2023. My hobbies include playing guitar, drawing, and spending time with my loved ones. In my family, I have two dogs, Joey and Chandler, named after the best characters in the show Friends… I enjoy working at Advanced Eye Care because I love the people; I love my coworkers and enjoy the fun-loving environment I work in.
Sherri - Receptionist
My name is Sherri. I am one of the front desk receptionists here at Advanced Eyecare. I have been here since July 2022. I enjoy working with our team and meeting so many of our patients every day. Our office is a fun place to work where we all genuinely care for each other and continuously work toward the goal of providing excellent patient care to all of our patients. Outside of work, I am usually found spending my time with my family and friends. Our family enjoys getting together and playing games or just visiting. I am an aunt to five nephews and two nieces and a dog mom to a very spoiled pup.
Kelly - Technician
My name is Kelly, I am from Milton, Florida. I started working at Advanced Eye Care in February 2023. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my family. I have a twelve year old son named Samuel, and a seven year old dog named Sophie. In my time here I have learned so much from Dr. Wilson. She is a fantastic doctor with a passion for teaching and I look forward to learning so much more in my future here at Advanced Eye Care!
Mason - Technician
Hello, my name is Mason. Born and raised in Waterloo, I recently relocated to Des Moines with my son. I started with Advanced EyeCare Center May 2023. I have worked in both Ophthalmology and Optometry for about 8 years. Beyond my passion for helping people attain a better quality of life, I enjoy hiking, biking, reading and gardening. Fun fact, I have over 100+ house plants! Working at Advanced EyeCare is very gratifying and humbling, understanding that this small, locally owned clinic functions like a big family!
